Do I need to register to use the Travelling Connect app?

No. Registration is only required if you want to earn miles when making roaming calls. If you want to use the app only for finding city information, booking a car or hotel or booking local tours and activities, you do not need to register.
If you would like to register to earn miles when making roaming calls go to ‘registration’ from the menu and register by filling out your surname, mobile phone number, loyalty program, loyalty program membership number and email.

I am already a Travelling Connect member. Do I need to register again?

No, if you are already a member, you don’t need to register again. From the menu go to ‘Account Information’ and log in with your mobile phone number and loyalty program membership number to see an overview of your account details and miles earned. Make sure there are no spaces in the fields. The mobile phone number should be entered in this format: +447712354678.

I am already a Travelling Connect member. I can’t remember my log in information? What should I do?

If you are already a member and can’t remember the mobile phone number or loyalty program number you registered with, simply send us an email at customerservice@travellingconnect.com and we will help you out in finding out the correct information.

Is there any cost involved in using this app?

Downloading this app is free of charge. Only your mobile service provider will charge you roaming fees, but if you roam on one of our partner networks you will earn miles or points for the rewards program of your choice. Travelling Connect will only charge you when you purchase a local offer. When you book a hotel or car rental you will be charged directly by Booking.com or Rentalcars.com.

FAQ: EARNING MILES WITH ROAMING

What benefits would I receive as a member?

You can earn frequent flier miles or hotel points for the rewards program of your choice just by making calls while roaming – Travelling Connect has partnerships with airlines and hotels around the world. Just download the app, register, switch to our partner networks when you travel, and earn.
You can also register up to three additional phone numbers to your account – perhaps the mobile numbers of your spouse, friends, or family. Miles/points earned using those mobile phones will be credited to your account.

How do I register?

Sign up directly in this app, or visit the online registration page (or the smartphone version). To sign up from the app go to ‘registration’ from the menu and register by filling out your surname, mobile phone number, loyalty program, loyalty program membership number and email.

In which countries and on what networks can I earn miles or points?

You can always find the most up-to-date list of partner networks on our website and in our app, showing the countries where you can earn miles/points for your roaming usage. Remember to manually select a partner network when you arrive at your destination to be eligible to earn rewards.

How long does it take before miles/points are credited to my account?

It may take up to 30 days after the month in which your calls were made or data was used before your miles/points are credited to your loyalty program account.

Can I change my account information? For example, can I change my loyalty program or my mobile phone number?

Yes, all of this information can be changed in the app or on the website. In the app you go to ‘Account Information’ and log in with your mobile phone number and loyalty program membership number. Once you are logged in you can change your account information in this section.

Can I add additional mobile phone number?

You can add additional mobile phone numbers only from the website and not from the app. Simply log in with your mobile phone number and loyalty program membership number on the website and click on add additional numbers.

Can I earn miles/points if I have a contract with an operator other than a partner network?

Yes, this service is available to everyone, no matter your carrier, country, or subscription type. You will earn miles/points as long as you are registered with Travelling Connect and roam on our partner networks when you travel.

Can I book local offers when I am in my home country, or do I need to be in the destination country?

You can book any of the offers, both before you travel as well as after you arrive at your destination.

Who is charging me for the Rental Car?

Travelling Connect is offering Car Rentals through www.rentalcars.com. Rentalcars.com or the Car rental company will be charging you and not Travelling Connect.

I have a question about my existing booking – How can I change my flight number; change pick up time or amend something in the booking?

Once you have made a booking, you will receive a confirmation email. In that email you will find contact details you can approach to ask questions about your booking.

FAQ: BOOK A HOTEL

How do I Book a Hotel?

In the app, you can click on the country you are visiting and click on a book a hotel. Then you will be redirected to booking.com where you can book your hotel.

I don’t have a credit card – can I still make a hotel booking?

Travelling Connect is offering Book a Hotel through www.booking.com. A valid credit card is needed to guarantee your reservation with most hotels. www.booking.com does offer a small but growing number of hotels, however, that will guarantee your reservation without a credit card. For more information on this refer to the FAQ of booking.com.

I’m having difficulty booking – a credit card error or other technical problem. What do I do?

Who is charging me for the Hotel Booking?

Travelling Connect is offering Book a Hotel through www.booking.com. Booking.com or the individual Hotel will be charging you and not Travelling Connect.
