What is roaming?
Roaming is the use of your mobile phone in a foreign country. For instance, if your phone is registered in France and you travel abroad, your phone will in most cases automatically switch to a network within the destination country; all calls made and received on these networks are considered to be 'Roaming'. You can choose which network to roam on by selecting a network on your handset.

I have a contract with a mobile provider from the USA and I can not manually select the affiliated operator on my mobile handset
when Im in my destination country. What is going on?
A number of mobile providers from the USA prohibit the manual selection by the end-user of an other network than the one preferred by your (USA) provider.
This is not under the control of the affiliated mobile operator in the destination country nor under the control of Travelling Connect.
Please contact the customer service centre of your own (USA) mobile provider if you experience problems with manual selection.

I am in my destination country and I have difficulty manually selecting the affiliated operator to earn rewards when making calls. What should I do?
A few mobile providers prohibit the manual selection by the end-user of an other network than the one preferred by that mobile provider.
Your mobile provider may be one of these few providers. As a result, you may experience difficulties when manually selecting the operator of
your choice when traveling abroad. This is not under the control of the affiliated mobile operator in the destination country nor under the control of
Travelling Connect. We recommend end-users to try at least three times to manually select the operator of your choice before giving up. More often than not,
your own mobile provider will allow you to select the network of your choice when you try more than one time.
We also recommend you to contact the customer service centre of your own mobile provider when you experience problems with manual selection.
